Books about stone
As the current discussion has taken a definite literary
turn, I will now ask a question which I have been saving
up for weeks.
I want to make a list of useful and interesting books
about stone, stone sculpture, stone sculptors, stone
carvers, stone techniques, and so on.
Will you send in your recommendations? What have you got
on your bookshelves that you really value and which are
genuinely useful. What are the ESSENTIAL books?
Also literature about stone as a material (what makes
stone the way it is?) Perhaps the geologists who read
this would suggest a 'Geology for Non-Scientific
Dummies' title?
