Introducing myself
Hey Hannah,
a very bold idea you had for the members to
introduce themselves. My name is Dan Kerner and I live
in Santa Cruz, California. I have been working with
metal for a couple of years and stone for perhaps a
year. I like metal and all the different skills it
requires of the sculptor, like welding, cutting,
fabricating, etc. At the sametime I like stone because
all you really need is a hammer, chisel and a lot of
time. Currently I'm designing a piece which will be a
combination of metal and stone. Hopefully sometime in
the not to distant future I will be able to attend a
course at the Portland Sculpture and Quarry Trust and we
will be able to tell some tall tales over several pints
of Guinness or perhaps Scrumpy Jack. That Scrumpy is
kind of evil though.
