Zimbabwean stone sculpture
Hello ,
My name is Peter, van de Vijver ,a flemish name hard to
pronounce for no dutch speaking people.
I live near Brussels ,and it is true that all the galleries
i know are selling so called Zimbabwean Art, next to their
usual things. It is going on a few years now and i wonder who
is producing such a large number. The question is : how can
people find out which is authentic. They all claim to have
the 'real' thing.!? And why are people so thrilled about
this 'airport art'?
All the best.
Quoted text begins. There are many web sites owned by galleries
selling Zimbabwean sculpture - but most of
it is airport art. I have never seen one
that wasn't.
End of quote.
