introducing myself
Dear everyone
My name is Juliet and I live on the
Essex/Suffolk/Cambridgeshire borders and I carve mainly
smallish pieces in limestone. My training is as a
sculptor but I only started carving after leaving art
school. I mostly seek to develop my own work but I have
been to the Building Crafts College on a part-time basis
where I 've done lettering and architectural carving.
Does anyone know about carving in York stone -
specifically I was thinking of work for use in paving -
incised work, like line drawing only in stone, more
relief than fully 3-D. Does this make sense? Anyway
I'd be grateful for any tips anyone may have.
Cheers
Juliet
