Subject: tips for a newcomer to using pneumatic tools

Its SO ironic, listening to folks who abhor the progress
of technology on an internet mailing list! I've used
pneumatic, hand tools, heck - I've carved large-scale
granite sculpture using computer-controlled milling
machines.

There are many levels of "satisfaction" and, while
working out of a chicken coop in Iowa may afford you the
luxury of living in the past, those of us who carve
stone for a living, can't afford to ignore the
progressive technology of the last century. An
experienced stone carver NEEDS to master hand tools,
pneumatic tools, and many other tools and technologies.

Hobbyists can afford to hold out for the intangible
"satisfaction", and I don't intend to demean this in any
way - I completely understand that. However, as you
progress beyond the awkward stages of a new tool
technology, you will find many more levels of
satisfaction.(And many more levels of awkwardness)

As to professionals who don't welcome the word
pneumatic, well masonman Lee, those old-timers are doing
you a great disservice. Come on up to Vermont, and we'll
show you how its really done!
