introduction and polishing
Hi Everyone,
My name is Lisa and I am very new to stone sculpting and
am already very very much in love with it!!!! I live in
the Washington DC area and have been painting for a few
years but I think stone will be my true passion. I have
just joined this list but I've already learned so much
from recent conversations and the archive lists, thanks!
I have a question about polishing stone, I've only
worked with alabaster and just finishing my first piece
in soapstone. Can anyone give me some advice on
polishing these stones? For the alabaster I used the
polish that came with my stone and tools in the mail (I
don't even know what is in this can) but I was not happy
with the finish. The stone was extremely smooth to the
touch but it did not look like it to the eye. I would
greatly appreciate any advice. Thanks!
Lisa
