Book recommendations?
Hi.
I know that some of you have been talking about various
videos on sculpting. I was wondering if anyone could
recommend a good book that would really get into the
basics (again) of the various forms of material that are
used in sculpting, and some basic information on how the
work is actually done. Again, my main objective is to be
able to "understand" how the work is done when I look at
the sculptures (from the 19th century and MUCH earlier)
at the MET. I am so fascinated by this work, and I
really would love to understand how it's done.
A book that has photos & illustrations, showing the
various types of stone and how one would work with each
of these different types would be of great help.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Isis
