Look at the position you stand in while carving- leading
with your right, pushing off with the left, turned
slightly to the right (for right handed carvers it is
the opposite). It isn't a symmetrical stance, there is a
twist and focus to one side. A simple partial fix is to
just do stretches, and every half hour or so turn and
stand to the opposite direction, mimicing the stance
with your movement and muscles mirrored- just to balance
out your body.
