can anyone help a beginner?

hello everyone ..

i am an absolute beginner and at the level that i am
still trying to figure out what stone and what tools i
must start with .. have made a few sculptures but not
worth claiming!!

i want to know if there is someone out there who can
help me with this .. i have a lovely job but i know that
i am made for sculpture .. just that by the time i
realised this i had already wasted almost three dozen
years of my life ..

any help from anyone who has the time before i complete
my fourth .. will be really really appreciated ..
