Granite building stones or not?
Hi Scott
Regarding what to do with your overburden of granite boulders. I suggest
you get in touch with a operator of a hydraulic splitting machine for
dimensioning this field stones in to facing veneers. 3-5 inch in
thickness. This is a standard measurement used by stone masons. Don't
waste your time and money with diamond cutting since this is the wrong
type of application for this tool. By that I mean you wont be able to
handle volume cost efficient squaring of boulders by hand. In Vancouver
we have two splitting machines I know of. Try Greg of Bed Rock Granite
supplies. He might be able to give you some insight.
Good luck Reto Marti stone sculptor/mason
