ultimate tools
A "new" tool ... sorry, but I had to smile a bit. I have a 1902 Trow and
Holden air hammer, they rebuilt it for me a few years back... didn't charge
me for the work, they said it was under warrantee. This tool was invented
in the 1880's. The earliest use I've been able to track down was in a shop
in Pennsylvania in 1884 or 1886.
You can get chisels from Trow & Holden, or from The Compleat Sculptor in
NYC http://www.sculpt.com , among other places.
