Alabaster Suppliers
Hello,
I'm relatively new to the forum though I've been involved with stone for
16 yrs and recieved a BFA in '92 studio art/ stone carving. I have
developed an interest in turning softer stones on the wood lathe. My
difficulty is locating sources of alabaster that aren't all the way
across the country. I'm located in Roanoke, Virginia. If anyone has any
knowledge of quarries/suppliers on this side on the county I would
appreciate it. I especially would like to know who is handling Italian
alabaster on the Eastcoast, possibly bringing into New York? Any info
regarding this or turning stone on a lathe would be appreciated.
