Inca masonry work
Another clue as to how one might attain really exact fits between stones,a
method which has worked for me on smaller pieces, is to apply a thick
abrasive slurry (for example, 100 grit silicon carbide and water) between
surfaces and use a rotary or back and forth motion to wear down the high
spots. On could, indeed, run through the usual progressivly finer grades to
attain any degree of smoothness and precision desired.
Smiles all around, Robert
