Painting stone
I use Liquitex, which is manufactured in US but available in the UK at good
graphic and art suppliers. It is easy to mix and long lasting. For slate mix
white with a dot of black. However, it isn't really necessary, especially in
slate. Cut a strong deepish letter.

Quoted text begins. From: "Syd Kelland"
I'm referring to memorials and stone-cut letters that are filled with some
kind of 'paint' to enhance the contrast between the engraved lettering and
the stone background.
End of quote.
