Health hazards of sepentine (WAS Introducting myself cont)

Quoted text begins.I would like to know more about the properties of
serpentine stone as it varies so much in hardness and
colour and also what are the health hazards?
End of quote.
Health hazards of serpentine have been a common theme
in the group for the last two years. No harm in going
through it again ... it is obviously a very important
topic ... and we seem to get new information each time.
On several occasions I have noticed that people working
with serpentine in Zimbabwe don't wear dust masks.
Even if it's in the open, I can't believe it is safe.
