I get my alabaster at Stone Sculptors Supply near San
Diego, California USA. They are wonderful people who own
the place (ask for Lenore), and they have several types
of alabaster, sandstone, calcite and marble - some
unusually beautiful stone. They also have tools,
finishes, etc. I am fortunate to live near enough to go
to their huge "stone yard" and studio, but they are
online too. They have an online catalog with photos of
all their stone, and they will give you 10% off of your
