Subject: Question on drilling alabaster

HI Patricia,

Alabasters are often so soft that the masonry bit is overkill. I often use
standard wood drill bits, starting with a fine hole and working up. Welcome
and good luck. Alabaster pens sound very cool. Send a hyperlink to the
group where we can see them when you get that far.

Be Well,

In a world without walls or fences... Why do we need Windows or Gates?

Any advice on how to successfully drill holes through alabaster would be
greatly appreciated!
