Question on drilling alabaster
I would perhaps suggest that when drilling alabaster on such a small scale
that you drill through equally from either end.
I have had success with this on larger pieces.
rest assured someone will have a solution to this problem.
I suspect what is also happening is that small particles are being
compressed in front of the drill bit causing stress in the stone.
Interesting that you use a masonry bit, especially as alabaster is
relatively soft.
