Cracks in soapstone

Unfortunately your stone has a great possibility for breaking if and
when it does by some two part epoxy and mix some dust from the stone with
the epoxy. when you glue it back on it will hide the fracture better.
also I would recommend to anyone soft limestone over soapstone or
alabaster. its still easy to carve and is more predictable. the down side
is because of the large granular size lime stone generally will not take
much of a polish
