Subject: Tactile Art Class

Hi all this is a request for help. I am teaching a
tactile art class at the Colorado Center for the Blind
http://www.cocenter.org/ If you go here then click on
Scrapbook you can see photos of our clay class.

Our next work shop, the last week in May, is going to
be alabaster carving. We did a very small class last
fall and 3 students successfully completed a stone
carving. We would now like to teach 8 new students this
spring. We need some tools, small hammers, small
points, toothed and flat chisels, files and riflers. We
can use all manner of files and riflers. I have enough
big tools if we should need them but it would be
extremely helpful if each student had their own set of
small tools. That way they will be able to easily
explore just what they can each do. We do have a set of
the 4 in one tools, (the files that have a flat rough
and fine side and a curved rough and fine side).

My site is at http://www.oooandeye.com/artbase/base_members/ann_cunningham/ Ann
Cunningham. I have been interested in tactile art for at
least 10 years and am really happy to be working with
the blind because they are so excellent at tactile
discernment.

If you do have something you would be interested in
donating to our cause, please write and I will give you
the Centers address and contact person. You will be able
to take a tax deductible donation for this I do believe.
