vermont schist?
I have so far carved in limestone only. Now there is a huge supply of
stone on our newly acquired property in So. Vermont. I believe it is a
kind of schist, but would like to know if anyone knows anything about
this stone, what is involved with carving it, and how toxic it is. I
remember reading that this is a very toxic kind of carving if not
properly protected. It is a tightly layered, gray stone; and any
experience or info is welcome...
