one hint for heavy stone
Nice to hear from you Andrea. And the prior post from Ken Barnes was
inspiring! Thanks, Ken ...
Andrea, thanks for delurking ... One odd option i like is to buy a furniture
dolly ... comes padded with heavy duty casters etc for around $25. If it
would fit, you set the butcher's block atop that. I use one and just built
a cross hatch of 4 X 4's stacked loose, then i can roll it about and change
it for each piece. Others will have other thoughts, no doubt.
Sculpting involves creativity at so many levels ... what tools and methods to adopt constantly call for it. Just beware good tool safety, dust mask,
etc. Welcome to the family of the lovers of stone. (We're a warmer,
dustier, more natural lot than those "metal" people ... i could tell some
stories about them ...)
electRONicALLY yours,
dr ron
