Introducing myself
Dear Kevin
Quoted text begins. My artistic abilities are undiscovered my drawing
abilities have always failed me, but deep
inside I know they are there.
End of quote.
A beuatiful and inspiring statement from you too, Kevin, as we all
started somewhere, we all felt that "> deep inside I know they are
there."
Let me take just another tack, maybe the traditional side I don't
know.... but I feel drawing is essential to sculpting, and adds a
huge amount to the resulting piece. I sketch my rocks over and over,
before and during my work.
It's reaching that "deep inside place" that can be the difficulty.
My suggestion:
get a small sketchbook (3x5") and an HB pencil and carry it
everywhere. once you've filled up 3 sketchbooks only then should you
show a sketch to someone else. your sketching, your drawing is yours
and yours privately.
maybe that helps...
Bonne chance!
Oscar
