Symposiums in UK?
Does anyone know of any symposiums, meets, "chewing the fat" sessions occuring in the U.K. I live in Newark, Nottinghamshire, and am completely in the dark as to what is giong on "Stone sculpture"-wise here. It's so amazing to hear about all the activity Stateside. I wonder if it partly due to the sheer numbers of population, (i.e. given that a certain percentage of the population carve, thats going to be a large number over there), or a natural reticence on the part of us Brits, or is it this ongoing problem that we seem to suffer from here of it can only be art if it's based in London. I hate being this cynical, so someone please tell me that i'm wrong, and that theres loads of stuff going on allover that I've missed.
If on the other hand, there isn't much happening, how do we get it started?
Denise, disillusioned of Newark.
