Time for My Intro
Hello all,
I am new to stone working too. I am increasing my
knowledge base while I await all the tools, and safety
equipment I need. My hobby is flintknapping. The making
of stone tools is fascinating to me. I have wanted to since
I was very young. Now at 34, I begin a childhood fantasy.
My interest seems to incline toward working with obsidian,
and glass, rather than to flint, chert, or the other stone
materials commonly used to create tools such as handaxes,
scrapers, and arrowheads. To master the techniques, and
create tools worthy of consideration as art is what I aspire to.
If anyone else is flintknapping, please let me know.
