I have been carving about as long as you and live in New Jersey
End of quote.

Paul,

We have some things in common. Our states border one
another and we have been carving for roughly the same
number of years. Up to this point I have not so much as
sold one sculpture. I've given some as gifts, actually
my cousin from New Jersey owns a marble piece of mine.
I've been in a few shows but they are few and far
between and my work seems out of place in these shows
because most of the other work is conceptual /
contemporary art that is site specific or installation
based. I enjoy this type of sculpture but I don't think
it is the proper venue for my work.

I was wondering if you have been able to find a market
for your work or at least sell a couple of pieces for
some extra cash?

I carve because I love to, not for money, but I would
love to be able to sell some work and buy some better
tools and more selective stone.

Any info you have about selling work or "finding a
market" would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Anthony Marbella
