Air compressors
Dear Howard,
The most important thing to know about compressors, is
the cubic feet of air put out a minute. If your air
hammer uses twenty cubes per minute, than your
compressor should be putting out twice that much.
Otherwise it never catches up with the tools usage, and
is always running all out.
Most people never use their air tools at full
performance because they don't have enough air. With
soft stone you can get by, but on harder stone you must
have full performance. If you ever have acess to a large
compressor, you will be forever spoiled. The difference
is amazing.
Keeping you air tools oiled is extreamly important. My
compressor gives my 80 cubic feet at 100 pounds of
pressure, but I would like more!
Good luck and use a good dust mask.
