Hi Richard,

The best method I've used to hide joints in limestone
is to crush the stone your working with into a fine
dust and then add a small amount of white cement or
lime and mix into a paste with water. If the colour
seems a little white you can mix a little dust from a
darker stone or use cement colour to get the desired
effect. when you point the joint you can leave the
joint full and then sand it down when dry with the
same grade sand paper that you use to polish the stone
in order to give a flush surface. you can also use a
coloured epoxy resin and add to that some of the stone
dust to give it texture then sand it down. with a
little trial and error you should get the effect you
want. you get very good at this sort of thing when you
work as a banker mason!
