Kettering Tony's ideas
Hi Tony, thanks so much for those links - they worked a treat and I listened
to them all! The weather has been brilliant today but I resisted the garage
and instead worked on my French. Yesterday was our first French beginners
class in Wellingborough and Rita and I went along. After class Rita keyed
in her notes and I "printed" them out in braille. I am so wanting to speak
a little basic French.
Last June we travelled down through France to Spain and then back again. Up
until then I was more inclined to Spain than France but our contact with
French culture changed me completely and now I want to know more and more
about the country. However I knew no French and felt such humility that I
resolved to learn the basics before returning.
One of the towns we visited in our campervan holds an annual competition for
carving stone. It was amazing and I was able to feel many of the previous
year's exhibits. Alas the competition is only open to professional
sculptors so that counts me out.
Have you entered any competitions or are you only interested in creating for
yourself?
Best wishes - David
