Aberdeen stone sources
Richard,
Thank you for the suggestions. Yes, granite abounds
around here (Aberdeen, Scotland).
I'm after a softer more workable stone to start with.
Granite is very attractive and I plan to get there but I
guess I better start with a softer sandstone or
limestone on which to cut my teeth, so to speak.
My memory of the Kemnay quarry is of a yellow - beige
granite.
I'll drop by Robertson's and talk to someone there about
what rock they have spare.
Again, thanks for info.
Peter
