Do what you have to to get the work done! If you need some inspiation and a
fabulous stoneartists community ,try Versilia in Italy; Pietra Santa or
Carrara! Some studios there will make your basement look like heaven but the
work is fabulous.
I've been working with electric tools with water with a good G.F.I. and a
rain suit for fifteen years. Now I'm in a garage attached to the house working
with granite, basalt, diabase, serpentine etc. with little dust problem. A
small cieling mounted air filter helps for small "accidents". Still, pnuematics
would be nice but I would never trade the water for the dust.
