Quoted text begins.I am a beginning sculptor living in Kentucky. I would like to try
working with Indiana limestone. Can anyone tell me the name of a
supplier that would ship a small order? I have done some internet
searches, but most of what I turn up seems to have more to do with
architecture and large scale work. Thanks in advance.
End of quote.
Check the Indiana Limestone Institute website, http://www.iliai.com/
Look at the member list, perhaps there is a mill within a couple hour drive
of you. There aren't any in Kentucky, but there are in Ohio, Tenn. and
Indiana. It's easier to get small pieces from the mills if you go there in
person, they are almost never interested in shipping small orders or single
blocks.
