internet resources
Dear Mike Davis:
I have a unique angle on using the Web in relation to sculpture. You may or
may not be able to use the information I have to offer, but I'd be happy to talk
with you or e-mail you "stuff," if you'd let me know more specifically what you
need.
My husband and I have just finished writing a book on how slate has been used
in art forms. We've talked with artists in Canada, the US, and the UK; done
lots of research; searched lots of Websites. I have some artist's sites to
share, some colleges that have info on sculptors and quarry sites, and museum
info (both nationally known and small regional ones). I could try and weed out
the info specific to sculpture, but there is folk art carving and bas relief
work, jewelry, and land art. Are you looking for how-to facts?
Techniques/training of well-known sculptors? Would the slant on slate be of
any interest?
All the best,
Judy Buswick (in Massachusetts)
