Info on on slate quarrying
TO: Ann (and all)
You may already know of this book by Frank Eliscu,
titled Slate and Soft Stone Sculpture. It's been around
since 1972 and is still in book stores. He has some
details on bas relief techniques and tools. You should
also see Ivor Richards' site which I just listed in a
reply to Mike Davis. I'd be interested to learn where
you get your slate and what sort of relief work you do
-- lettering or figures?
Happy to meet a kindred spirit,
Judy Buswick
