Picking up the Pieces
Hey Folks,
I just wanted to say thank you for all your kind words, advice, and horror
stories. You made me feel better about the situation -- well, at least I
had some different things to think about rather than just sitting around,
wallowing in self-pity. I'm still a bit shocked at what a difference there
is between having a piece turn out badly and having a piece break. With the
latter, I have that real empty feeling like the piece never got a real
chance to be what it was heading towards.
Right now, I've cleaned up the pieces and set the larger ones aside. After
a few weeks I'll see if I can rework them as a unit or individually. One
piece is very interesting, but I don't want to ruin it by working it too
soon after the mishap. In the meantime, I've started on another stone.
(I've got my fingers crossed that this stone doesn't want to become several
smaller pieces!)
Again, thanks for all the support.
Linda,
back to making stone chips
