Removing tool marks - George Graham
Dear Clive,
Tell me more about using "spirits of salts" (hydrocloric acid). I have
thought of using acid of stone, but figured that I was doing enough things
that are hazardous to my health already!
I do use an acid chrystal stone cleaner that is made for cleaning granite.
It comes in a dry chrystal form and is mixed into water. when its all
disolved into solution and then brush on, left on for 10 to fifteen minuts
and rinsed off before it dries.
Is the HCL you use a liquid or solid? And is what I described similar to
what you do?
The cleaner I've used is some sort of evil whitches brew of acids that will
damage anything it touches, so I haven't experimented with it. I would
prefer to learn from someone who has already taken the risk!!
Thanks
George Graham
