Tool Suggestions Please
hi jane!
i have used a foredom for over 15 years (still on the first flex-shaft
though i keep a spare for emergencies) it is good for harder stones but find
it not very good for alabaster its too aggressive - for that i stick to wood
chisels, files and rasps which don't seem to scar the stone as much and i
can end up with the beautiful transparency of the alabaster left intact.
dremels are a waste of money where stone is concerned imo they burn out too
easily (even the heavy duty ones) and the flex shafts are way too fragile.
