Consistency in Makita Diamond Blades
Bill,
Thanks for replying, but no, nothing is fishy here. I'm not using this
for carving, I merely thought that this forum was a good place to find
information from people with experience that might be out of the norm
for the usual construction / fabrication trades.
My application requires the use of the small, lightweight battery
powered saw, an absolute minimum kerf width and minimal disturbance of
the surfaces along a cut that must go smoothly through adjacent soft,
tough plastic and hard brittle mineral matter. The first blade was
unique in that respect. The second wasn't even close in performance.
The question is, what changed? Of course the amount of diamond loading
could be different and hard to judge, that's why I'm hoping that someone
with direct knowledge or experience with Makita will know.
John
