Hi George,

I would say a website is do able for almost anyone who has access to digital
pictures and/or a scanner. There are free sites available on line which
don't need much skill or knowledge to build (like geocities). The most
professional presentation however, would of course be having your own domain
and a custom built site. It does take quite a bit of time even to build the
most basic type of site and anything beyond would take some specialized
knowledge (html and site design, ftp and some digital image manipulation to
optimize your graphics). I do believe it is worth it. I have made sales to
total strangers who never would have known of my work had I not had a web
presence. On February 1, of this year between the local times of 12
midnight and 8 am persons from 13 different countries hit my website and
viewed my work. No where else is such exposure possible. I have, however,
had this site (and been working on it) since 1997 and I do occasionally
spend active time online promoting it. Please feel free to visit and take a
look around :).

Good luck in your endeavors - and I do hope you do decide to learn what is
needed to get online with your works.

Sincerely,

Sue Buchenholz
