Storing Alabaster
HIHO Linda,
Actual experts will answer your questions about heat and sunlight. I did
once store alabaster outside (here in Colorado) and the rain and freezing
cold really damaged the stones in a single winter, so i always keep mine
indoors now... and i would guess i have at least a hundred and fifty stones
that i have accumulated over the last decade... all waiting for attention.
Lotsa alabasters from Utah and Colorado in oranges and green and red as well
as some earthier tones, several chunks of pure white Colorado Marble, and
some with green streaks in the white... also a few soapstones in purples and
green, etc and a few of many other stones like onyx, serpentine and many
more. I love rocks.
