Linda,
I used the "fin" technique that Clive described on a piece of Belgian black
about six months ago. The fiber/grit masonry cutting disk worked so well it
didn't even occur to me to use a diamond blade. This was a small piece, so
I used a 4 1/2 inch grinder running at 10,000 RPM and made the cuts maybe
1-1.5 cm apart. I find that wearing hearing protection helps to cut down on
fatigue, too. The noise from the grinder really wears on my nerves after a
while.
