Subject: Angle Grinder Speeds

Hello there in the nonexisting world of computers.

The answer from George Graham is very clear about the grinder and
blades.

I have few things to add:
Use the right blade for each type of stone.
The blades will always last long even if working with basalt in the
right way.
You must sharp the diamond blades while working from time to time.
Easy, cut into a piece of concret (normal) very few times every one hour
.......(More or less).
This will "open and clean" the diamond.

Dry-cut blades can be used also with water.
BUT wet-cut blades can ONLY be used with water. THAT'S IMPORTANT !!!
It is the same for diamond-disk for polishing.
Wet-cut blades last
loooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnggggggggggggeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrr
than dry-cut ones. But, using right your dry-cut one, will also last
for years.

One short sentence (special for women !!!!!)
I am woman, stone worker since years (including very big granit
sculptures ....... until little marbles).
Working side by side to men I have seen (many times) how they can
destroy a blade in one day while my blade last for many sculptures (not
all men, of course).
WHY ??? simple:
They, strong and great workers, can last longer holding the grinder into
the stone ...
wrrrrrrrrrrrrwrrrrrrrrrrr wrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr wrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr pum
!!!
The blade gets to hot and the "pastillas" (pieces) of diamond go away.
Blade offfff.

I work slow, the grinder is heavy, I stop frecuently .... Cut, stop,
cut, stop ...
At the end of the day, at the end of the month, at the end of the year,
my blades cut perfectly in any kind of stones............

Good luck
