Limestone block
i haven't done the actual math but it seems as if the
engineer has designed the densions to be just sufficient
to anchor the stone safely so long as that is an area
where the ground is stable (no earth quakes, tremors, or
slides) - its a fine line and i am not an engineer.
generally engineers leave a 20% margin for error - i
think maybe he only left 15-18% - but when you are
looking at 7 tons of material it is not going to tip
over all that easily, the amount removed doesn't sound
like it will make a significant difference in the total
weight.
