Squaring the rough edges.
Simon
Thanks for the advice! I spent Saturday afternoon working with a 2.5 "
flat chisel, augmented with a 3/4" getting rid of (or trying to get rid
of) drill marks. I had some success and look forward to trying your
suggested method on squaring up the blocks. The piece I'm working with
is a 4000 lb block of very nice granite that I dug out of my driveway.
About 30% I've cut down into smaller blocks to do some paving with. The
remainder is in two almost perfect rectangles that I don't want to touch
until I have some more skill in shaping.
