mallet, chisels, etc
thanks jerry. welton is very close to where i am.
instead of sawing a mallet in half to add lead for weight it might be easier
to just drill holes in the top and press lead wool in.
regarding mallet headed chisels. any 1/2 inch shank pneumatic chisel can be
adapted to use with a mallet with an attachmet sold by trow and holden. they
come off and on very easily. also if you are using a nylon mallet there is
often no reason to do anything to the mallet. if any spalling to the shank
does occur simply grind it off. you could also get a blacksmith to attach a
mallet headed on permanantly.
