european sculpture project

Greetings all,

I'm inspired and energized by all the great ideas that emerged from this
conversation. A group effort would hopefully produce something special that
would reach out to people beyond the sculpture community.

I think stone sculpture is at its best when its focused of fundamental,
elemental truths. Creating symbols that give shape to powerful ideas is our
highest calling.

There a few other stone carver in western NY , and with some work, maybe we
can get organized and do something. I really like the idea Tracy Powell
described for a sculpture to be made, broken up and the pieces used as seed.
What a fantastic idea.

I'm hoping other sculptors in the northeast US will start talking and acting
as a group from this conversation.
