Subject: colour on marble

For shades of Grey or brown, there is the option of lithichrome. Do
tests on small samples to see how one application differs to two and
three layers of application. I guess they have colors too, but I have
no experience using them. I know you can use oil on marble, again, I
would do some samples. I would also advise sealing the marble with a
polyurethane first, but this is what I do for lettering and may not
apply for sculptures. It does, in my opinion, allow for a more even
application of color. Just thinking about it quickly, I would be
concerned with the oil staining the area where the color meets the
natural stone. I, too, am interested what others have to say.

From every weathering angle Litchi colors are as durable as any color
materials available today. Ultraviolet light is the chief source of
pigment and binder deterioration and Litchi colors are compounded from
the most UV resistant pigments and resins known. Twenty permanent
colors are available. Ask for the color chart to put colors to work on
your product.
