Introductions and Howdy
Thank ya'll for this free and frank conversation , you
have all been a great help in my thinking process.
Poured the slab in my little workshop yesterday , and
moving in today ... concrete is a little green but I
cain't wait! Was able to incorporate many of the
ideas discussed here , even though I did it on the
cheap , using leftover parts from my steam boilermaking
days ...built a Quonset type barn, 14 x 24, using ribs
of 1/2 x3 bar that some fella bent who did not catch
that the print called for 14' I.D, not O.D, and aluminum
tin that was stained and discarded.... I beam from a
buddy , the only cost was in purchasing the self tapping
screws.
Any way , proud of my cozy hole , the wife is a little
less so .
I have been carving Limestone , and selling some pieces
right along, and now it is time to get a little more
serious about it .
I thank you all again for the help you have provided
while I lurked around here , and look forward to picking
ya'lls brains like a welder picks his nose.
So , a Great Big Western Howdy from West Texas !
