introduction
Hello,
My name is John Walters. I work with stone practically
6-7 days a week. I restored very old tombstones
throughout Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio. Limestone,
sandstone, marble, and some whetstone. I have a great
passion for my work. Restoring the artwork of a
stonecarver in 1813, that is carved on a tombstone, that
lay on the ground broken and going away is very
rewarding.
I joined your list to learn more about the stone I work
with, but also I have sculpted for years with clay,
wood, even my granchildrens' play dough. Now I want to
carve stone.
I have already enjoyed lurking and looking forward to
learning. Thank you in advance for sharing your
knowledge with me.
Sharing knowledge is as close to immortality we can get.
