contracts for artists
Clive,
Your point is well taken. I realize that a contract is not a guarantee, but I hope to use a contract as a point of reference for a relationship.
Now that I think about it, my friend and I discussed all of the details about the piece I carved for her EXCEPT the price. I have always been very self conscious about asking people for money, and I tend to avoid the subject. Knowing I have this personality trait, it would help me to establish some guidelines ahead of time, then have everything written out and ready when it's needed.
